Seafood News from our Buying Team

Here's the latest from our sourcing team:

Salmon prices rising slightly after a few weeks on the cheaper side. 

ASC Certified Salmon from Kvaroy (Norway), Grieg (Canada), and Sixty South (Chile) will be available all week. 

Arctic Char supply is looking great.

Farmed Kings are scarce and prices will remain high for the next 2-3 months.

European Steelhead Trout supply is has bounced back, and prices are beginning do drop. Always a great alternative to Atlantic Salmon.

Beautiful Yellowfin & Bigeye Tuna arriving this weekend from Brazil. 

Swordfish landings have improved and prices have stabilized. 

Cod supply has been good this week. Have have new shipments of Icelandic cod in house and coming over the weekend.

Black Sea Bass supply has increased over the past 2 weeks, pricing should continue to fall.

Jumbo Fluke supply has tightened up. Boats have been landing mostly smaller fish.

Mahi Mahi supply has become very tight.

American Red Snapper supply has bounced back, and will be strong for the weekend.

Fresh Farmed Bronzini prices remain high. Limited air flights and labor shortages continue to drive rising costs.

Fresh Halibut supply has been good all week, and prices continue to drop.

Wild Striped Bass has tightened up over the last week, and prices have started to increase.

Live lobster prices have stayed even from last week, and supply is strong at the moment.

The U/10 and 10/20 scallop market is has begun to stabilize, and prices have dropped slightly.

Most East Coast and West Coast oysters are limited in availability. We are seeing the effects from the start of the pandemic, oyster farmers were not putting down seed and now there is a real shortage of oysters from all over. Supply has picked up from most areas (NY, MA, Canada) and we should see more available in the weeks to come.

Razor Clam supply has dried up. The tide is not right for harvesting and availability is very limited.

We should be receiving a large shipment of Florida Rock Shrimp in the next week!

Fresh Lump and Jumbo Lump Crabmeat supply remains steady.

The Frozen Lobster Meat market is down from the winter months. 

We are getting in shipments of fresh Hamachi Fillets in weekly.

Frozen Hamachi Fillets are in steady supply.

Uni supply has rebounded. We will have plenty of Peruvian Uni for the weekend.
