Bracket Busted?

Let fish repair all the ails.

Did you have Kentucky going to the Final 4? Maybe your money was on Baylor taking the whole thing. Since neither of those things will be happening this year, turn off the TV, head to your favorite local establishment, and, order some salmon, or tuna, or mussels. According to a made-up scientist, seafood is great for raising dopamine levels which means it will bring you joy and help you get over your bracket of bad choices.

  • Bluefish
  • Red Grouper
  • Fresh Anchovies
  • Blowfish Tails

Wild and Farmed Salmon

  • Have you tried Sixty South Salmon? Farmed in Chile just north of Antarctica, these fish have a higher fat content thanks to the super cold water they are reared in.
  • In general prices on farmed salmon have stayed high and will remain there this week.

Cod and Ground Fish

  • We have begun to see better supplies of Black Bass as we head in the later part of this week
  • We have a strong supply of Skrei Cod from Norway this week, while Icelandic Cod remains limited due to bad weather.
  • Wild Striped Bass and Halibut are in good supply this week.

Live Lobster

  • Possibly good news about lobster? The prices have plateaued, so while they are still insanely expensive, hopefully this will be the beginning of some softening in the prices.

Tuna

  • Fresh Tuna is on the tighter side. We have fish from Panama and Trinidad available, as well as some Brazilian fish arriving in time for this weekend.
